About the role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving the web and mobile applications that power Equitable Earth’s products. Working closely with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, and wider Product & Engineering team, you’ll take ownership of features and technical initiatives, contribute to technical decisions, and help raise the bar for engineering quality across the team.
Beyond your own delivery, you’ll help strengthen our engineering culture through mentoring, code quality practices, knowledge sharing, and thoughtful use of AI in the development workflow.
This role is fully remote, with working hours that significantly overlap with French time zone.
What you’ll do
Product Development
Design, develop, and maintain features across our web and mobile applications using TypeScript, React, AdonisJS, NestJS, and React Native
Own features end-to-end, from understanding requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration
Refactor and improve our codebase to strengthen quality, reliability, and performance
Engineering & Collaboration
Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to strong engineering practices through code reviews, pair programming, testing, and CI/CD
Work within our fluid feature crew system, contributing as a team member and taking the lead on feature crews and initiatives when appropriate
Mentor and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and helping raise the technical bar across the team
Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture and continuously improve our ways of working
AI & Innovation
Use AI tools beyond coding assistants, including AI agents and MCP servers, to improve developer productivity, code quality, and problem-solving
Identify opportunities to apply emerging AI technologies to our products and engineering workflows
What success looks like
Within 1 month, you’ll have built strong relationships across the Engineering team, become familiar with our ways of working and development standards, and developed a high-level understanding of our web and mobile applications, their architecture, and key features. You’ll already be contributing to well-scoped work with increasing autonomy.
Within 3 months, you’ll be fully comfortable with our engineering workflows and technical stack, understand how our main applications fit together, and be able to independently scope, implement, test, and ship features. You’ll be actively contributing to code reviews, technical discussions, and team collaboration.
Within 6 months, you’ll feel fully at home in the team, product, and codebase. You’ll be operating as a trusted senior engineer, taking ownership of significant features or initiatives, contributing to technical decisions, mentoring others, and helping improve the quality and effectiveness of how we build software.
