In 2017, while traveling through South America, Thibault, our Founder and CEO, was struck by the sheer contrast of lush, thriving ecosystems and degraded landscapes. It was then that he decided to dedicate his career to addressing the challenge of restoring our planet’s degraded lands.

In late 2020, he began surrounding himself with an incredible team, including our former co-founder and Managing Director, Priscille, who brought with her a passion for empowering the people and communities that steward these lands.

This journey since has led us to a single question, which has been woven into the very heart of the Equitable Earth: How can we achieve genuine restoration and conservation that work for the climate, biodiversity, and the communities who call these places home?

This same question - and the pursuit of an answer - provides the foundation for our every thought and action. It is an unwavering dedication to restore and protect our planet’s wild, abundant, and interconnected life.

This is our vision of the future, a picture of our potential, a wilder Earth where people and nature, may once again, thrive together.

Thibault Sorret is the founder and CEO of Equitable Earth. He holds degrees in Entrepreneurship & Sustainability from McGill University and Biodiversity, Wildlife, and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh. Before founding Equitable Earth, he helped scale a climate-tech company from 50 to 750 employees as Chief of Staff.
